This build is a current demo of the few things the game has to offer and a graphic display close to what it will be in the final product. It was done in almost 2 months of work with some temporal troubles, so, it's mostly a technical demo of what will be the end result. Things that will be added in a future are readable both on the README.txt file that can be see in the folder where the install exe is and in the 1st devlog will be available after release.
The demo features the first level with some of the basic systems and mechanics that will have on the final release.
Also, it's planed to have 5 chapters in total, with around 3 to 5 levels each; and this demo will be upgraded with new features from time to time, to improve the experience of the first level of Alrch.

Awaken, Hand Master. The world reclaims you one more time to kill the dark gods. A dark cult has arisen and wants your blood for the revival of the old gods you fought a long time ago. It’s your objective to destroy all the cultist plans in this fast-paced retro FPS inspired by titles like Heretic, Amid Evil and Hexen; with a good repertory of spells and weapons to destroy your enemies in diverse ways and levels highly inspired by Quake level design. 

Featuring:

  • Why shoot weapons when you can shoot from your own fingers? Alrch displays a repertory of 9 different weapons, with primary and secondary attack modes each, to destroy your enemies and paint everything with their blood and guts.
  • The mood and aesthetics of classic 1990s shooters with a more brutal and grimdark layout on top of it; with a color palette inspired by Quake with new additions.
  •  Maybe Necronomicon, Ars Goetia and The King in Yellow are hidden in some place.
  • There’s a mouth talking with you and enjoying the enemy's deaths and suffering with you. 
  • The use of a powerful tool used for Quake mapping to feel even more like your grandpa or father playing Quake for the first time; with lots of secrets and easter eggs to improve your frenetic runs.
  • The possibility to use that same mapping tool to do community maps (this feature needs to be confirmed in the future, so, at the moment is not official).

Really loved the graphics and music! The dynamic guitar rolling in during combat was super cool. Also, the level design and UI were really great. 

I did get fairly confused about where to go and how to finish since there wasn't a lot of direction when I was running through it (got stuck in the room unlocked with the Fire Key). Also it would be great to have a mouse sensitivity option! It felt super slow on my end.

Overall really looking forward to seeing more of this game and the things you intend to add!

Yeah, I think the mouse update and so will be after the next update, I will add the gameplay settings menu where that will be able to change the value. I will also do some level things to be more clear in the interaction so people don't get stuck on rooms and have a clear path xd

the aesthetics and occult imagery is really cool. It needs some quality of life improvements thou, like hidding the "press E to interact" prompt on things that are no longer interactable. Combat needs a bit of work, enemies don't show any feedback when attacked and don't inflict damage. Also, i consumed all my ammo really fast

Absolutely LOVE the UI and scenery. I want to see more of this demonic world!

Me a gustado mogollon la estetica, el arte y el diseño del nivel, se que aun esta en una fase muy temprana pero si gustan algun tipo de critica puedo decriles que el elevador final me fue muy frustrante encontrarlo, siento que el mapa en si tiene mas conceptos laverinticos que propios de un juego de disparos, la musica y el arte me pedian crear una masacre y matar enemigos pero el diseño de nivel me pedia analisar y poner atencion, son conceptos mas propios de un juego de terror, que por la direcion de arte que lleva tambien le queda muy bien, por lo demas me a gustado mucho el rumbo que esta tomando, mucha suerte <3

Respondiendo a tú comentario sobre el nivel: Sí, la aventura se volverá más lineal o guiada cuando se añadan un par de cosas que faltaron, igualmente ese elemento de terror fue lo que busqué desde cierto punto, obviamente sin descartar la acción la cuál falta pulir con las próximas actualizaciones.
