1.0.4 update! 2nd-14/10/2023


Hello there! It's been some weeks since the release.

What I can say again? I really love how this project is going (even in such early stages of official development).

This list is written under the simple idea of mention current added, fixed and missing things from Alrch DEMO 1.0.4 that will be updated after release.

With this 1.0.4 version, now some of the missing things are fixed:

  • There's a rough Gameplay Settings menu, with Mouse Sensitivity and Camera FOV sliders.
  • A new weapon: the Celestial Hammer has been added.
  • A better visual approach to guide the player through the level.
  • Now there's a win screen, currently the text and data it has is all placeholder and doesn't work, but it will soon on the next updates.
  • There's a show-off of water movement the game will have, thought needs to be fixed when jumping.

Currently the game misses the next things, that will be updated in the next weeks:

  • - Complete enemies behavior (current one is a sketch).
  • - Triggered events (cinematics).
  • - Enemies spawn items.
  • - SFXs.
  • - Save system both in-game and game settings.
  • - Pause menu.
  • - More enemy types.
  • - Voxel graphics (will be seen in items).
  • - A MacOS build.
  • - A OpenGL version to be released soon, in case you can't open the game due to your graphic driver not support Vulkan, try to open the game with the Windows console.
  • - There could be some performance issues (or a bit of FPS drop-down sometimes) due to missing optimization in some things like compiling shaders when shooting or creating VFXs and also memory management
