Hello World, what's all this? 1st-29/09/2023

Well, this is my first devlog in my whole life, lol.

What I can say? I really love how this project is going (even in such early stages of official development). TThe truth is that I was going to write a lot more here, talking about some things, but perhaps due to inexperience and nervousness I forgot everything I had to say here. I just wanted to thank you, reader, in case you've played the game, whether from the first demo or not, for playing it and and taking the time to read this devlog with some honest thoughts and so. I want, also, to apologize from my English skills to write this, English is not my mother language.

This list is written under the simple idea of mention current missing things from Alrch DEMO 1.0.0 that will be updated after release.

Currently the game misses the next things, that will be updated in the next weeks:

  • - Complete enemies behavior (current one is a sketch).
  • - Triggered events (like cinematics and some level interactions).
  • - Enemies spawn items.
  • - SFXs.
  • - Gameplay settings menu.
  • - FPS slider on graphics settings menu is still not working.
  • - Save system both in-game and game settings.
  • - Pause menu.
  • - More enemy types.
  • - Voxel graphics (will be seen in items).
  • - A MacOS build.
  • - A OpenGL version to be released soon, in case you can't open the game due to your graphic driver not support Vulkan, try to open the game with the Windows console.
  • - There could be some performance issues (or a bit of FPS drop-down sometimes) due to missing optimization in some things like compiling shaders when shooting or creating VFXs and also memory management.

Also mention that the release of the gameplay demo of this first level of the first chapter of the game was mostly done in a rush to be presented in a national contest in the home country of the main game developer (Trashcan Games) of this project.

This game features music composed by the great https://seankimball81.itch.io/

And all the textures of the level where taken from the texture packs provided by https://screamingbrainstudios.itch.io/ under CC0 license
