A downloadable game for Windows

Seas of Enceladus is a game made for the MechJam IV (06/07/2023-20/07/2023).

Take control of a mercenary mech pilot paid by eco-terrorists to destroy a massive gas station over the seas of Saturn's moon Enceladus. Fighting against the security forces of the station, waiting for you with lots of drones to destroy you with their bullets or even with their bodies in this frenetic Bullet Hell SHMUP with a retro feel inspired by classics like Raystorm, Radiant Silvergun or Darius Gaiden.
What you could wait for this project?
  • A good retro vibe in both graphical, auditive and design terms; inspired by PS1 and Sega Saturn graphics.
  • 1 challenging stage with lots of enemies waiting to kill you.
Game Controls

Since we didn't made a Input rebinding system for the game, it has multiple ways to be played, even with Controller Support.

MoveShootLaunch Lock-on MissilesSword Slash
WASDLeft ClickRight ClickMiddle Click
Arrow KeysX keyZ or Y key C key

We have some missing things that didn't ended in the game because we run out of time:

  • A proper end on the level, so, if you reach the end, just press escape and the game will close :s
  • A pause menu, this was due to some technical problems with the engine.
  • A lives marker, by default you have 3 lives, but there isn't a place on the HUD that shows it.
  • The sword don't work, you can feel it, but doesn't do nothing real on gameplay.
  • An epic final boss battle :c
  • Sometimes the game can crash, and there's a few strange behavior with UI graphics, all this happened exporting the game.

Any chance of exporting a Linux build?

Game crashes on start-up for me with wine.

Unfortunately I don't think so :c

Mostly cause we don't had Linux to test it and (at least by my part) idk if there's gonna be any update with new exports, also, I think Godot 4.1 stills a bit broken and some game problems are from that :s

Btw, we used your shader preprocessor with my adds lol

Anyways, we can see to try a Linux export
